Course: Math 553. Nonparametric Statistics. Spring 2001.

Prerequisite: MATH 448 or 502.

Schedule: Tu. Thurs.: 08:00-09:55 am. FA348 A.

Textbook: Nonparametric Statistical Methods by M. Hollander and D. A. Wolfe, Second Edition, 1999. Wiley.

Instructor: : Miguel A. Arcones.

Office: LN-2229.

Course description:: We will use the textbook to introduce the basics notions of nonparametric statistics. But, the material will be expanded. We will see several concepts such as asymptotic relative efficiency, asymptotics for U-statistics using other books or my notes. I will supply you a copy of my notes and handouts on Splus.

Course materials: You can find the syllabus, the Splus handouts and the homeworks in my web page: http://www.math.binghamton.edu/arcones/553/.
