Mathematical Problem-solving GroupPurpose and Rules:This is an informal group, devoted to mathematical problem-solving. We meet weekly to discuss various problems from previous Putnam competitions and AIME competitions, and just to chat. At home, you try to solve these problems and/or read and understand their solutions.Mathematical problem-solving can greatly enhance your mathematical education, but your regular classes should be higher on your priority list. It is expected that not all participants will be coming to our meetings every time, and this is not a for-credit activity. Fall 2024Meeting time: Generally, Monday 6:30-7:30 pm and Tuesday 6:30-7:30 pm. Monday meetings will be in general about AIME, while Tuesday is for Putnam, though what we do will be ultimately determined by who shows up. If you would like to come, but these times do not work for you, please email me. Meeting place: WH 109 Resources:
