(1) Review of Poisson and Negative Binomial Distributions (2) Poisson and Negative Binomial Distributions in R with ggplot2 (3) Comments on Poisson and Negative Binomial GLMs (4) Poisson and Negative Binomial GLMs in R: checking model vs data
February 27: Remarks on problem 3 in chapter 4: In part (d), which predictors are significant, and what change in odds is induced by a change in those predictors (see p. 32)? How do your results compare to those in part (b)? In part (e) use stratum and not pooled.stratum as the matching variable. (The problem states that each case is matched with two controls.) In part (f) you should refit the model from (e) using the ordinal versions of the variables. The clogit function is fitting a conditional logistic regression, which is described here and I will talk about this in class on Monday.
