By car

Binghamton is at the intersection of NY route 17, Interstate 81 and Interstate 88. From New York City: Go West on 80, then 380, then 81 north. When in Binghamton take 17 West, 206 south, 434 West. Holiday Inn is on your right, and Howard Johnson is a little further down the road and Binghamton University is directly on your left.
It is also possible and very pretty to take Rout 17 all the way from New York City.
From Syracuse New York: Go 81 South, then change to 17 West, 206 south, and 434 West.

By Plane

Binghamton is served by Binghamton airport about 15 miles away from the university. If you let us know when you are coming we will try to pick you up. It is also possible to fly to Syracuse and rent a car from there. Syracuse is a little more than one hour away.

By bus

You can take Shortline from Port Authority in New York City. They run approximately every 4 hours. This will take you to downtown Binghamton about 4 miles from campus. It is usually easy to get a cab from there.

Parking

Holiday Inn is so close that it is easy to walk from there. On Sunday you can park anywhere on campus, but on Monday parking will have to be in the visitors parking lot which costs $5 pr day.

Erik Pedersen's house

Go half a mile west on Vestal parkway=Route 434. Right after a fire station on the right there is a Kohl's department store on the left. That road is called Jensen road, and you turn left to go up Jensen road. Take the second road on the left, Almar drive and the first road on the right, Denal Way. The address is 420 Denal Way, the fifth house on the right.

Old Union Hall

The Mathematics Department is in the tallest building on campus called Library tower, right next to the visitors parking. Starting from say, the visitors parking go to the other side of the library tower where the main entrance to library tower is. Go east to Old Union Hall.
