THESE INSTRUCTIONS apply to all tests and quizzes in Calc II.
- Bring your picture ID.
- Be on time. No extra time will be allowed to latecomers, except in emergencies.
- Read the directions on the test.
- Test questions will generally be similar to the kinds of problems you had on the homework.
- Give reasons for your answers. Show all your work, and show enough work to justify your answer. Show some work for every problem.
- Simplify your answers.
- Identify your answers clearly. We can't grade the problem if we don't know what is your answer.
- We expect you to have a knowledge of trigonometry and Calc I. You can get a good idea of what will be needed for the test by seeing what you had to know to do the homework problems.
- You are responsible for providing your own calculator if you want one. If you forget or it breaks down or it is not the type that we allow, it is your responsibility. Calculators may not be shared.
NO GRAPHING, TEXT, OR PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATORS
AND NO LAPTOPS
ARE ALLOWED AT TESTS.
- To study for tests, the best thing is to do more problems. We recommend the chapter review exercises. We also recommend extra odd-numbered problems beyond the ones assigned.
You will get a good idea of what will be on the test by thinking about what you've done in class and homework.
- If you have a class conflict or any other valid reason for not attending the regular test time, you must tell your teacher ahead of time and make alternative arrangements. If you cannot attend the test, tell us as soon as possible. We will expect proof of reason.
