Welcome to Math 147!

This website originally was just an addendum to Prof. Walter Carlip's Math 147 website since I had started the semester as a substitute instructor for Prof. Carlip. I am now officially the instructor of this course, and the entire website has been thoroughly revised not only for distance teaching (starts March 19), but also to provide information about subjects that were formerly only addressed in Prof Carlip's website. Note that this website will remain the only place where you can find Prof. Carlip's lecture slides. Be sure to reread this entire website (except for the announcements tab) since I have changed some of the policies.

Exams:

There will be two midterms and one final exam. Each midterm will last 60 minutes.

Midterms:

Exam 1: Wednesday, February 26, 8:30 - 9:30 PM (150 points)

Exam 2: Wednesday, April 22, 1:10 - 2:10 (during lecture!) (200 points)

The second midterm will be held from 1:10 until 2:10 under the assumption that BU still adheres to online teaching. Otherwise the exam will take place from 6:30 until 7:30 PM in LH 1, LH 2, LH 8.

Final exam:

The final exam counts for 400 points and it will last two hours.

Date of the Final Exam: Thursday May 7, 2020, 12:50 PM - 2:50 PM online

Final Exam makeup: Friday May 8, 2020, 3:15 PM - 5:15 PM online

Here is the direct link to the official Final Exams Schedule. You can also find that link on the Courses tab of the Math departmental web page.
