Midterms: I will design the two midterms of my section, but the following still needs to be resolved:
-
The exact dates are decided by the course coordinator.
Note however, that the Weekly Schedule page states the following.
Midterm 1 will be in the week of Sept 14 - 18,
and Midterm 2 will be in the week of Oct 26 - 30.

Each midterm will last 90 minutes and start at 3:20 PM, five minutes after the usual start of lecture.
The amount of material in the exams will be commensurate with that 80 minutes duration.

Final exam:
-
Date and Duration of the Final Exam:
Please check the official
Final Exams Schedule.
You can also find that link on the
Courses
tab of the Math departmental web page.
-
Final Exam makeup:
TBD
-
Date and time for all finals are set by the registrar
and there is absolutely no flexibility.
-
You can request a makeup final only if you have another final at the same time.
(direct conflict) or you have three final exams scheduled within 24 hours.
If you want to request to take the alternate final,
please contact me by email no later than Monday, Nov 23.

Quizzes:
|
| |
-
There will be 10 quizzes worth 20 points each.
The worst two will be ignored, so only the 8 best results will count for your grade.
Accordingly, you can earn up to 8*20 = 160 points. That corresponds to 16% of your grade.
-
There will be no makeup quizzes before you have missed two quizzes.
Even then you must provide an acceptable reason for not having attended lecture on that day (e.g., illness).
You must send me an email (can be one or two lines) BEFORE THE START OF LECTURE that you cannot attend class because ...
|
| |
Homework:
|
| |
-
Your homework will count for the remaining 4% of your grade.
-
I understand that your homework will be centrally assigned, via WebAssign, by the Director of Calculus.
