Math 148 Course material

The course will be taught according to the book "Stats - Data & Models, 4th edition" by De Veaux/Velleman/Bock. Be sure to get the version with MyStatLab access. You will need your MyStatLab access code to register for Math 148 on the MyStatlab website, also referred to as the SDM website or the DVB website. (SDM stands for the initials of the text, Stats, Data & Models, and DVB stands for the initials of De Veaux/Velleman/Bock, the authors of the textbook.) Here is the link for instructions to register. If you review those instructions then you see that you need to provide the course ID (fochler18367) to register.

Be aware that there is a solutions manual for this book. The price on Amazon is about $45. It does not contain more solutions than the book (the ones to all odd numbered problems), but the problems are fully worked. You will see that most of the even numbered problems are proceeded by a very similar (odd numbered) one and this definitely should be helpful when you attack the homework problems. Here is the link.
