My name is Hung P. Tong-Viet. I am a Professor of Mathematics and the Director of Graduate Studies at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Binghamton University. Before this, I was a postdoc at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Kent State University. I obtained my PhD degree in pure mathematics at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
My primary research interest is in group representation theory. I have been teaching at several universities
including Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan), Bielefeld University (Germany), Universities of Pretoria
and KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa).
