Math 454 Announcements

1/26/2025     a. The grades for quiz 1 are published on BS and, anonymously, on the grades page. Note that the scores are out of 25 points, not out of whatever BS tells you.
b. I'll try to publish selected solutions today, but no promises.
1/26/2025     a. Homework 2 has been published.
b. I have published version 2025-01-26 of the MF lecture notes. Discard the older version! Section 2.10 ("Miscellaneou") now contains material on suprema and infima of sets of real numbers.
c. I announced in lecture that I will give quiz 1 on Mon Jan 27 and quiz 2 on Fri Jan 31. Scope for quiz 1: Ch.2.1-2.6 and ch.3.1-3.2.
d. My eyes need a fairly strong contrast so I can read your quizzes and exams. I cannot grade what I cannot read!
I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you write your work with a pen or press real hard when you use a pencil.
