Q:
Are the exams cumulative? What about the quizzes?
A:
a.
The midterms and quizzes are not cumulative in the sense that you
will be asked almost exclusively about the material since the last
midterm or quiz, but you may need to refer to earlier material.
b.
The final is cumulative, but a disproportionately large portion will
be about topics that were discussed after the last midterm.

Q:
What about the multiple reading due dates?
A:
a.
The staggered due dates for reading will help you to space out
your work evenly so you won't fall behind.
b.
You may be quizzed about the reading that was due by day n
as early as on day n+1.

Q:
I want to take this course concurrently with Math 346. Is that feasible?
A:
I do not believe that Math 346 is a crucial prerequisite as long as
you understand the difference between stocks and bonds,
that between puts and calls, and you know how compound interest is calculated.
It is much more important that you did well in your Math 330 class
and enjoyed the levels of precision and abstraction that students
are exposed to in this type of course.
