There will be lectures, homework assignments, and student presentations (but no test). Your grade will be based on the quality and quantity of your written work and on your presentations.
The syllabus (which will grow as we progress) shows what we'll cover. The homework assignments have the details. The lectures will be based on the book but I intend to add some significant topics that are not in the book.
